Bib Pickup, Check-in, Parking

Bib Pick-up

You may only pick up your own bib; please bring ID.

  1. Pre-race at San Francisco Running Company, 247 Shoreline Hwy, Mill Valley. SFRC is offering 10% off store-wide when you pick up your bib there:
    • Thursday, 5/1 — 10 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
    • Friday, 5/2  — 10 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  2. On race morning, 5/3, in front of the Stinson Beach Community Center, from 4:00 – 4:45 a.m.

Remember, it is poor sportsmanship & a lifetime ban to let someone else wear your bib, or to race wearing someone else’s bib.

Check-in

May 3: 4:00 a.m. – 4:45 a.m. at the Stinson Beach Community Center – even if you’ve already picked up your bib, you must still check in on race morning at the Start Line before 4:45 a.m. It is quick and easy to activate your chip at the start area.

Directions to the Start

You must park in the Stinson Beach Park Dirt Lot. Cars parked along roadways or on any side streets will be towed and you’ll have to walk home after running 62 miles.

CARPOOLS highly recommended: it’s a twisty, windy mountain road so do allow ample time to arrive by 4:00 a.m.

To map from your location to the parking lot, input 15 Marine Way, Stinson Beach, CA. At the north end of the town of Stinson Beach, turn left off Highway 1 into the Park. Go past the parking kiosk all the way to the dirt lot at the end and park as directed. Be sure to allow enough time to walk from parking to the start, 4/10 of a mile.

Parking Lot to Stinson Beach Community Center: Walk back along the parking lot entrance road a few 100 yards. Turn right across a short bridge at the Parkside Cafe. Go straight one block to Hwy 1. Turn right and walk through town. Turn left onto Belvedere at the Fire Station.

Toilets

There will be five portapotties in the dirt parking lot that we highly recommend you utilize; you’ll be happy to have taken care of business right after you park (with less waiting in line). There will be eight portables at the race start. Do not use the parking lot, bushes or beach as your toilet (ewww!); our permits depend on your responsible choices. The portapotties required by our permit cost the race several thousand dollars; make it worth the expense by using them!
