Starting Line – Click here for map showing race morning parking, check-in, and the start area at Stinson Beach Community Center. Signs on the front porch will indicate drop bag locations for Tennessee Valley, Randall, and Finish.
Start – Stinson Beach Community Center
Turn on your headlamp and head down the road one block to the Fire Station. Turn left onto Highway 1 briefly, then left again onto the double-wide dirt trail leading to the Dipsea Trail. Follow the Dipsea up “the moors” before dawn and down Insult Hill. Turn right across the bridge and climb up the Dipsea Trail to Cardiac. What’s that sound…?Cardiac (no aid station here – 2.8 miles)
No aid station here yet, but portapotties are available. Take Coast View Trail downhill to Heather Cutoff, then go right across Santos Meadow. Cross the paved road, turn right on Redwood Creek Trail, then left at the road and carefully cross to the Pelican Inn on Pacific Way. Go left onto Coastal Fire Road to reach the Muir Beach Aid Station.Muir Beach Aid Station (no crews)
Check in here with Captains Fred Liebes and Charlene Bayles and their phenomenal crew. Then retrace your steps to the Green Gulch Zen Center entrance, follow the fields, and turn right at the bathtub through the gate to Middle Green Gulch Trail. Climb to the ridge, go left on Coyote, then right on Miwok to reach Tennessee Valley Aid Station.Tennessee Valley Aid Station (crew ok)
Say hi to Captain Stan Jensen and his volunteers, access your drop bag, and head out left on Marincello Fire Road. Fire road intersections are complex here—study the course map. Follow the “left turn then quick right” from Bobcat onto Altaat the “H,” then go “straight/slight left” onto the rugged SCA Trail with the Golden Gate Bridge below. Cross McCullough Road near Conzelman to reach Bridge View Aid Station.Bridge View Aid Station (no crews)
Captain Ana Braga-Levaggi and the Tamalpa Running Club will get you fueled up. Head down Coastal Fire Road (dirt) to Bunker Road (paved). Veer left, cross carefully, then continue left about 100 yards and veer right over a bridge. After the bridge, turn right on Rodeo Valley Trail, climb to the ridge, go left on Alta/Wolfback, then onto Bobcat at the “H,” and left on Miwok to Old Springs Trail. Descend to the Miwok Stables—walk through the stable area from the fallen log to the “OK to run now” sign—then return to Tennessee Valley Aid Station.Tennessee Valley Aid Station (crew ok)

Grab what you need, then head left down Coastal Fire Road through the beautiful Pirates’ Cove. Smile for the camera! Continue up and over to the Muir Beach Aid Station.Muir Beach Aid Station (crew ok)
Thank the volunteers, retrace your route to the Pelican Inn, and follow instructions from monitors and CHP to cross back onto Redwood Creek Trail. Return across Santos Meadow, up Heather Cutoff, and climb Coast View Trail to Cardiac Aid Station. Keep a steady pace to stay ahead of the next cutoff.Cardiac Aid Station (no crews)
Cutoff: 1:30 p.m.
Refuel with help from our SFRC volunteers, take in the view, then continue up Old Mine Trail to Pan Toll Ranger Station (no crews). Cross the parking lot near the ranger kiosk, then cross Panoramic Highway (with CHP guidance) to join Matt Davis Trail. Stay right at the next intersection for Bolinas Ridge Trail. Enjoy sweeping views en route to Bolinas Ridge Aid Station.Bolinas Ridge Aid Station (no crews)
Captains Jennifer and Franz Dill, Omar Droubi, and the Coastside Running Club will lift your spirits. Keep moving forward through the redwoods to the Randall Trail gate on your left. Turn left through the gate and descend to Randall Trail Aid Station.Randall Trail Aid Station (crews & pacers ok)

Eat, drink, and access your drop bag. Thank Captain Chuck Wilson and his legendary crew. Pacers may join here (waiver required). Only 12 miles to go! Retrace your route up Randall, turn right on Bolinas Ridge Fire Road, and continue to Bolinas Ridge Aid Station.Bolinas Ridge Aid Station (no crews)
Cutoff: 6:50 p.m.
Cheer the Coastside Running Club volunteers and continue along Bolinas Ridge Trail. At the Matt Davis intersection, turn right and descend the technical Matt Davis Trail—watch for the sharp right-hand turn below the main trail. Navigate roots and rocks carefully all the way down to the finish.Finish – Stinson Beach Community Center
Cutoff: 8:30 p.m.
Wash off poison oak with Tecnu, change into dry clothes, and enjoy warm food and good company. Pick up your drop bags and goodie bag before 9:00 p.m., when remaining bags will be discarded for safety and hygiene.
