lottery + waitlist

Since more people want to run Miwok than there are spaces, there is an entry lottery. Volunteers who complete 8 hours help at the previous year’s race receive two chances in the lottery. Runners with streaks of seven or more Miwoks receive automatic entry. Volunteers at the 2015 event will receive two chances in the 2016 lottery, so if you didn’t get in this year, consider working an aid station at Miwok for a great day anyway! You’ll have a lot of fun and double your chances of being able to race the following year. Bib numbers are not transferable or deferable; a $75 refund is available if you notify the Race Director at miwok100k@gmail.com of withdrawal by March 5; no refunds after March 5. There will not be a waitlist this year. I accept extra runners up front so that everyone has the same opportunity to train, make reservations, get a babysitter, etc. This means that a withdrawal prior to race day does not create a space in the race. It just brings us down closer to our park service permit limit.
